Hi all,

I am putting together some food ideas. The food we buy needs to be:
- Not need cooking, or can be cooked in one or two pots
- Flexible - think different combos with some common ingredients
- Storable - some stuff can be kept cool in Xitu entrance
- Carryable - heavy stuff needs to be kept to a minimum
- Tasty - I know it's an expedition not a holiday but we still want to enjoy what we eat
- Nutritious - Food = caving fuel!
- Adaptable - we need to cater for veggies / vegans / meat eaters

Please give me your ideas to incorporate into my planning. I will send a more detailed message for you to comment on, hopefully later today, but any suggestions to get the ball rolling gratefully received.

Cheers,
Jo

Hi Jo,

Last year we had various combinations of pasta, passata, cured meats and different cheeses.
Maybe a bean chilli? Lentil spag bol (Im not a veggie, just though i'd suggest for the masses).
We had smash, cheese and something one day (can't remember what though... maybe I had too much Don Simon?!)
